Denise earned her civil engineering degree and master’s in Brazil before moving to Arizona for her PhD at ASU. She is a licensed professional engineer in four states (AZ, CO, NV, TX) and a certified road safety professional with ten years of experience in transportation engineering. As a project engineer at Y2K Engineering, she focuses on data analysis and road safety, working to improve transportation systems through data-driven solutions. She currently serves as the ITE Student Liaison in Arizona.

In her spare time, Denise likes cross stitching and spending time with her family.
