PROJECT OVERVIEW

Y2K Engineering is assisting in the completion of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process and approvals; support for the City County of Denver goal of obtaining an FTA Small Starts Capital Investment Grant (CIG); and identification of other potential funding opportunities.

As part of the consultant team for this City County of Denver Bus Rapid Transit project, Y2K is conducting extensive traffic modeling efforts using TransModeler and Synchro as well as assisting in the high capacity transit alternatives analysis in understanding traffic and mobility along the corridor, at the stations, and intersections; the Preliminary Engineering plans (30% design level) for traffic signals within the NEPA cleared sections; and the predictive crash analysis to evaluate the safety impact of the proposed BRT related corridor improvements.
